Apple has today officially announced the release of newly refreshed Macs. The new unibody Macbook and new iMac & Mac?Mini.?Each available with their funky new multitouch mouse that has a completely touch sensitive top.

Tiny spaceship or next generation of mouse? - You decide. Its probably the end for the Mighty Mouse as we know it.
?The new ‘mouse’ has one totally smooth and seamless surface designed for true multitouch use. Apple states the mouse can be used to navigate using what they call ‘intuitive gestures’ as opposed to the more conventional ‘buttons’ we’ve had for the last 15+ years. The mouse can be configured to act as a conventional mouse too and used with 1 or 2 virtual buttons, Cool! (expect this to run nearer to ?100).
The Imac has hit the shelves with 2 new screen sizes, 21.5 inch and a very nice 27 inch version. Both screens feature the new LED backlit displays and sport a 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen to me and you).
The 27 inch iMac will run at about ?1300 and sports a 2560 x 1440 screen resolution with more than 50% more pixels than the last 24 inch version. These come with eother a Core 2 3ghz or a Core i5 2.66Ghz CPU and 4Gb of DDR3 memory.
The latest MacBook now has a unibody (polycarbonate) enclosure just like the much loved MacBook Pro versions have. now just 4.7 pounds in weight this also has a backlit LED screen and a 2.26Ghz Core 2 CPU and 2Gb DDR memory. These are expected to run at about ?799.
The Mac Mini has only had a slight tweak and now has a better CPU option, a 2.26Ghz Core 2 with 2GB DDR memory?or a faster 2.56Ghz model with 4Gb DDR memory (The latter being available with OS X Server for some reason).
