Another update has been released by Apple for the iPod Touch, iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4. The update patches two security holes in the OS. iOS 3.2.2 has also been released for the iPad.
The updates patches a hole in safari that has been used by hacker @planetbeing to create the latest and easiest jailbreak. The vulnerability is in safari’s PDF viewer, which allows unauthorized code to run on the device. However, the hole is not going to be patched on first gen devices.
Jailbreakme.com uses safari and a single swipe of your finger to execute code that allows users to run Cydia, Which is a home-brew App store developed by Jay Freeman. The method can be used on any device.
for those of you who have already paid jailbreakme.com a visit, beware. The update will lock your device.
At a massive 579MB the update is available through iTunes. Just connect your device and click update.
